# What is Mind Made Of? We should call it emptiness but because of its knowing quality, we shall call it mind Mind illuminates whatever arises in our field of perception Mind is the indivisible unity of emptiness and cognizance (knowing) ### Qualities of Mind - Inherently Empty - Reflects like a mirror - Contains a quality of knowing - Does not have its own vibrational quality, rather it is a reflections of the objects contained within The minds is synonymous with space itself, it is a container for all phenomena yes it is boundless and borderless. We think of the mind as the part of us which does 'the thinking' or our thinking self. #### But also within mind is: - physical sensations - the conception of forms in space - the sentience that powers our hearts and internal organs (the subconscious mind or subterranean mind) When we meditate we watch our mind, the directions it moves in, the speed, patterns, and quality of contentment. Thoughts carry vibration, a thought causes a physical response in the body - alignment, anxiety, panic. Anxiety is a common human alignment and its considered undesirable because of the element of fear which prevents our natural growth process and inhabits wisdom [[Stillness & Self-realization]]
