## What were your intentions when you began this trek? The poetics of presence, to meditate more and to metabolize my experience through writing, music or other art. ## What was your unexpected weather? Having a harder time to take the space to be still and quiet. Noticing the mix of responsibilities and distractions vying for my time. Can I practice mindfulness while in the motion of responsibility, in the motion of distraction? Tipping the scale into conscious choice to concentrate. ## How did your practice or project shape-shift during the journey of this trek? Turned into a focus on prior work. Organizing my archive and consolidating into proper folders. Reigniting a passion to write my memoir and focus on creative writing. ## How did this trek lead you to unexpected places? The crystal orb and sensing creating a palpable shift for me toward a direction for my work. ## What mode or modes of trekking did you encounter? Tasks as well as patience with myself. Observing my mind and how it's hard to concentrate at times (what's in the way) — also gaining clarity on my voice and who I am as a writer. ## What did you notice or learn about yourself over the course of this trek? That I can lead through sharing. Choosing to share is a form of leadership. It's not about the content as much as it is about expression and trust in the validity of honest expressions. ## What intentions will you bring with you, moving forward? - Keep writing. - Meditate during responsibilities — be in the practice while in motion. - Share my perspective or what I think about the situation.
